New Year's Resolution

Dogs Losing Weight

New Years Resolution: Get that Weight Off of Your Dog
By: Tippy & Alfred

There is an epidemic in America. An epidemic that strikes
not only humans but your beloved dog. This epidemic is
obesity. More and more dogs are becoming overweight, which
leads to high cholesterol, high blood pressure and heart
disease just like in humans. Many people make a New Years
Resolution to lose weight, why not you and your dog? You can
lose weight together and increase both of your life
expectancies and happiness.

Losing weight with your pet is not only good for it but it
is good for you. You then have a constant reminder to follow
your New Year's Resolutions whether they include your losing
weight or not. This gives you more will power to actually
follow through. People will do extraordinary things for
their pet that they wouldn't do just for themselves.

You will also get more exercise if you decide to put your
pet on a diet and exercise regimen. One of the main methods
in which anyone loses weight is through exercise, which
means that you and your dog will be taking a lot more walks
for longer times and losing weight and improving your
circulatory systems in the process.

You will also be spending more time with your pet,
increasing the bond between the two of you and greatly
facilitating its training. Playing with your dog is also a
form of exercise for both it and you. Your time with your
pet is very beneficial for you both.

Getting that weight off of your dog will increase its life
expectancy by at least a couple of years and avoid a lot of
health problems and veterinary bills, which helps your
budget in the long run.

It is also easy to change your dog's pet food to a diet
version and feed it only when it is supposed to be fed.

Overall it is a good idea to get your dog to a healthy
weight. This will make it happier and you happier, and you
will have your friend around for much longer. You might even
be around longer yourself.
