Information About The Teacup Chihuahua Dog Breed

Chihuahuas are amongst the smallest dogs and they are in the toys
category. Male Chihuahua are about 6-9 inches (15-23 cm) tall while
female dogs are about 6-8 inches (15-20 cm) tall. They weight
between from 2 to 6 pounds (1-3 kg).


People often call the very small Chihuahuas Teacup Chihuahua puppies
but it is not an official name according to the A.K.C. breed standards.


Chihuahuas have small heads with short pointed noses. They also
have very large pointed ears that made them famous.


The Chihuahua is a good companion because it is loyal and loving.
They might show some signs of jealousy, so it is good to train them
early and to teach them to socialize. They can be pretty suspicious
of people they don't know.


Because of its very small size, it is safer to walk the teacup Chihuahua
using a harness then a collar. Also, if you live in a cold climate,
consider a coat when you take him outside.
