Heckle and Jeckle the pair of hilarious and witty black magpies,
made their debut in the 1946 short The Talking Magpies.


Heckle and Jeckle certainly looked alike, but Heckle spoke
with a New York accent, while Jeckle spoke with a British accent.

Heckle and Jeckle spent their time trying to out wit their cartoon
adversaries like Dimwit the not too bright bulldog and
Farmer Al Falfa.


Heckle and Jeckle were always looking for a free ride,
free meals, free room and board and usually got what
they wanted by way of their cleverness.


Besides their many Terry Toons cartoons, the birds
appeared in:
