Winnie the Pooh & Tigger at Christmas Time
By: Tippy & Alfred
Winnie the Pooh is a character from the children's book
"Winnie the Pooh". The book and the characters have been
beloved by children and their parents since the book was
written by A. A. Milne in 1928. The story was eventually
picked up by Disney and has produced quite a following from
its stories, series and movies depicting Pooh and his
friends.
Because of this Winnie the Pooh and his friends have become
popular icons they are often seen on T-shirts, figurines and
decorations. These are often given as gifts at Christmas and
there are even Christmas stories and movies with these
popular characters.
The movie "Winnie the Pooh and the Super Sleuths Christmas"
from the series "My Friends Tigger and Pooh" is just the
latest movie in a new popular series. This series has been a
great hit, and depicts Pooh, Tigger and Friends in computer-
styled 3D animation.
In this movie Santa loses his magic sack and a reindeer
(Holly) has to help the Hundred Acre Woods gang find the
North Pole and return the magic sack to Santa or Christmas
will be ruined for everyone. The super sleuths are on the
case when Holly can't remember how to get home.
"Winnie the Pooh: A Very Merry Pooh Year," another Christmas
movie about these popular characters, went to video in 2002.
This was originally a TV special released in 1991 called
"Winnie the Pooh and Christmas Too."
Winnie the Pooh shares the holidays with his pals and
dresses up as Santa in the first half of this movie. In the
second half everyone makes a new years resolution to change
but they learn that being who you are is better than wishing
to be different.
Both of these movies share heart-warming stories about
Christmas and the spirit of giving and sharing with your
friends and family. These are both great choices for your
little ones to watch during this Christmas season. Happy
Holidays to everyone.
