Baby Dinosaur Stuffed toys that are so Endearing and Charming
The baby dinosaur has always held a fascination for people.
There have been many examples of fossilized eggs found from
clutches of dinosaur eggs, but it has been extremely
difficult to find any remains of baby dinosaurs themselves.
Until recently there have been no reported finds of complete
skeletons of baby dinosaurs. But in China just recently at
the Psittacosaurus Discovery they have found several small
dinosaurs less than four years of age and excellently
preserved under an old lava flow.
The idea of baby dinosaurs sparked the idea for "The Land
Before Time" movie series that is very popular with children
and the first movie in the series even held the fascination
of adults.
The movie "Jurassic Park" showed baby dinosaurs in the
laboratory after they were created by experimenting with the
DNA found from a mosquito that had bitten a dinosaur and
then become fossilized in amber. The concept of breeding the
ancient lizards to form a theme park was a great idea for a
movie.
Since then there have been many television shows that depict
young or baby dinosaurs. For instance, the "Barney" TV show
features "Baby Bop," a baby triceratops that dances and
sings along with the rest of the dinosaur cast.
In the TV show "Dinosaurs" there is a baby dinosaur that was
most famous for saying the line "Not the Momma!" to its
dinosaur daddy. (It was a comedy show that didn't last very
long in the early 1990's.)
Baby dinosaurs are also depicted in many cartoons, like "The
Land before Time" TV series and the Flintstones cartoons.
Children really love the idea of baby dinosaurs and that is
why they show up in many children shows, books and stories.
