Tyrannosaurus Rex Magnificent and Fierce Stuffed Dinosaurs


The Tyrannosaurus Rex was a carnivore, which means that its
diet mainly consisted of meat. They lived eighty-five
million to sixty-five million years ago during the
Cretaceous period. The Tyrannosaurus Rex lived in a semi-
tropical, humid environment that was forested and had nearby
swamps and rivers. The average temperature was mild.

Until recently the Tyrannosaurus Rex was thought to have
been the largest carnivore during the period of time that it
lived. But scientists just recently found that the
Carcharodontosaurus and the Giganotosaurus may have been
slightly larger than the Tyrannosaurus Rex.

In any event, the Tyrannosaurus Rex was a very big predator
that walked on its back legs. It had a very large head and
very large jaws with a lot of sharp, pointed teeth that
replaced themselves when lost.

The arms were small, with only two fingers, and the feet
were bird-like and had three clawed digits, with two facing
forward and one backward. They also had a small dewclaw on a
tiny vestigial fourth toe.

The tail of the Tyrannosaurus Rex was small in comparison
with the rest of its body, the end was pointed, and the tail
was held straight back behind the animal. This probably
allowed for better balance and quick turning when it was
running.

The neck of the Tyrannosaurus Rex was short and very
muscular and the dinosaur was very solidly built even though
its bones where hollow like those of birds.

The Tyrannosaurus Rex weighed roughly up to seven tons, was
around forty feet long and about twenty feet tall. The arms
of the Tyrannosaurus Rex were about three feet long.

The large head of the Tyrannosaurus Rex was around five feet
long! The eye sockets on the skull measure four inches in
diameter and the eye itself would have been three inches in
diameter.
