The Tuxedo Cat
The Tuxedo cat is also known as a bicolor cat that has white
fur and sections of some other color. The Tuxedo cat is
known for its white black color pattern that makes it look
like the cat is wearing a tuxedo.
The bicolor Tuxedo coat pattern isn't specific to a
particular breed. Many breeds can come in Tuxedo pattern
bicolor including: Persian, Ragdoll, American Shorthair,
Manx, British Shorthair, Turkish Angora, and Bombay.
A tuxedo bicolor must have a white and black fur coat. The
reason why this particular coloring is called a tuxedo
bicolor is very apparent because the pattern on the fur coat
makes a tuxedo. Most tuxedo bicolors are also wearing black
masks along with a formal tie and tail.
Sometimes that black coloring will cover the entire face. In
order for a cat to be a true tuxedo bicolor it must have
white paws, stomach, chest, and throat, and the chin is
often white as well. The rest should be black.
